By Sam Smith (Bulls.com)Another name that has been mentioned is Chicagoan Patrick Beverley from Marshall High School. He is a six foot guard from Arkansas regarded as a good defender and solid person, though not much of a shooter. He was released by Miami despite some guaranteed money when Mike Miller got hurt and they had to sign Jerry Stackhouse. He had a good chance of making Miami’s roster until then. He doesn’t clear waivers for another day. The Bulls also have looked at Jazz point guard Sundiata Gaines, who was famous for a moment last season with a dramatic three point winner on national TV against the Cavs last season.
Though there are veterans available like Chucky Atkins, it’s more likely the Bulls bring in a young player they could look at for future development as well.
