Bulls nearly certain to sign big man

The Bulls are virtually certain to sign a big man after Joakim Noah responded to his stellar 27-minute stint Friday night against the Trail Blazers by getting shut down indefinitely.

Dotted line time: Current NBA players have to clear waivers by March 1 to sign with another team and be playoff-eligible. But if the Bulls were to re-sign Chris Richard, whom they released Feb. 18, he could be added at any time and see playoff action.

Richard remains the most likely candidate to be signed. Jake Voskuhl and Mikki Moore are other unemployed big men.
