The Chicago Bulls today signed forward Chris Richard to a 10-day contract. Richard, a 6-9, 256-pound forward, will be in uniform tonight in Atlanta when the Bulls take on the Hawks at Philips Arena at 7:00 p.m. (CT).

In nine games (all starts) with the 66ers, he averaged 10.1 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.22 spg, 1.11 bpg, 0.9 apg and 30.6 mpg. He shot .623 from the field and .600 from the line while in Tulsa.
Rose: "I want to be that guy. I want to be the reason why the Bulls are back to what they were [during the Michael Jordan era]."

Richard making bid to stay with Bulls

By KC Johnson (Chicago Tribune)

In a nod to his strong performance Saturday night against the Heat, not to mention mounting minutes for Brad Miller, Chris Richard remained in the rotation Tuesday.

"Of course I believe I can stick here the whole season," Richard said. "Otherwise, why even go out there?"

Signed to a 10-day contract Friday, Richard finished with five rebounds in 11 minutes. He also offered some much-needed rest for Miller, who averaged 38 minutes in the first two games Joakim Noah sat with plantar fasciitis in his left foot.
Rose: "I want to be that guy. I want to be the reason why the Bulls are back to what they were [during the Michael Jordan era]."
