Kirk Hinrich has been suspended one game for making contact with an official after he was ejected from Friday night's game against the Heat with his second technical foul.

NBA disciplinarian Stu Jackson announced Saturday the Bulls guard will serve his suspension Tuesday night, when the Bulls visit the Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum.

Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro had insisted the bump was inadvertent.

"It was because the referee (Bennie Adams) stopped," Del Negro said after the Bulls' seventh straight loss. "Kirk was walking toward him, and then the referee turned and they bumped. … That's all it was."

Hinrich ducked out the back door of the locker room Friday night in Miami without giving his version of the incident. But the NBA did not duck from issuing punishment.

Hinrich lost his cool late in the 108-95 loss.

Stupid suspension. I share the opionion from Del Negro.
Rose: "I want to be that guy. I want to be the reason why the Bulls are back to what they were [during the Michael Jordan era]."
