Oh, this is gold.

Nearing the end of Saturday night's Raptors-Bulls' third quarter action, Raptors point guard Jarrett Jack(notes) held the ball at the top of the key. Noticing his shoelace was undone — Velcro, kids! Wear Velcro! — Jack tucked the rock under his arm while the clock continued to run, bent over and tied it back up.

Not a single Bulls player tried to steal or knock the ball away.

Guess which team lost by 32 points.

That is really bad. :mad1: :bang: :mad1:
Rose: "I want to be that guy. I want to be the reason why the Bulls are back to what they were [during the Michael Jordan era]."

"If it was one of our guys guarding their guy and the guy tied his shoe, I would expect our guy to go over and knock him on his ass," Raptors coach Jay Triano told Toronto reporters Monday.

Replays indicated Luol Deng turning his head to get Jannero Pargo's attention because the Bulls were caught in a mismatch with Deng on Jack. Still, the play neatly served as a microcosm of the Bulls' lethargy during a 32-point loss.

"That was embarrassing," Derrick Rose said. "I probably would've fouled him or something or at least tried to steal the ball."

Jack said he merely took advantage of an opportunity.

"I saw (the Bulls) were kind of confused on defense," Jack said. "I was like, ' Why don't I just get my shoe together while they're trying to get their defense together.' We were about to go into a pick-and-roll. I didn't want to go into it with my shoe untied."

Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro expressed disappointment while also defending the play.

"That's not acceptable," he said. "But it was a unique situation where we were in a mismatch and Lu had turned his back. He didn't see it. Otherwise, he would've been up on the ball."
Rose: "I want to be that guy. I want to be the reason why the Bulls are back to what they were [during the Michael Jordan era]."
