Full articleThe Bulls' Vinny Del Negro sounded very much like a coach thinking long term Monday when he hinted at sitting Derrick Rose out of Tuesday's exhibition game against the Jazz at London's O2 Arena.
If that's the case, Del Negro might want to leave Rose and his sore right Achilles' tendon and ankle back at the team hotel. If he doesn't, kicking and screaming might ensue.
"I know it's just a preseason game, but I still want to win," Rose said. "I mean, when I hurt it in the Indiana game, I should've sat out. But the game was too close, so I stayed in."
There's a fine line between competitiveness and shortsightedness, though, and even Rose conceded the injury is severely limiting him.
