By KC Johnson"I'm going to play in that game," Rose said of Sunday's 59th NBA All-Star game.
Previously, the league excused Rose's Rookie Challenge commitment for Friday night when NBA coaches voted him as an Eastern Conference reserve. Then after participating in Saturday's light morning practice, Rose pulled out of defending his Skills Challenge title due to his bruised right hip.
Bulls physician Brian Cole examined Rose Saturday afternoon and though Rose's condition is improving, Rose, agent B.J. Armstrong and team management opted for a conservative approach.
"We've got four games in five nights so this is an important week," Rose said of the Bulls' upcoming schedule. "I'm getting better every day and will be fine. This won't be a long-time thing."
