Allen had surgery in June to repair the torn posterior tibialis tendon in his right ankle. Though Rose's same tendon merely was inflamed rather than torn, that injury also sidelined Rose for all but the Bulls' exhibition opener Oct. 2.
"Oh, man, I know exactly what he's going through," said Allen, who went to Crane High. "You don't always feel it unless you try to explode. I played a whole year almost with mine being just hurting and then torn.
"But when you try to lift up on your ankle, it's like a sharp, knifing pain right behind your ankle. They said I needed to get surgery done."
I really hope that Rose gets 100% healthy without surgery. Worse enough that the injury bothering him. Bulls need a healthy Rose.
