Trade winds are blowing
Kidd. Mike Bibby. O'Neal. Andre Miller. Pau Gasol. Those are just a handful of big names that could be moved before the Feb. 21 trade deadline. The climate this year just seems to be setting up for a blockbuster. Kidd and O'Neal have expressed a willingness to move on if their respective clubs decide to start rebuilding. Bibby and Miller already are in those situations. Gasol was almost traded a year ago, and might be available for the right price.
On the other side of the equation, there are at least four teams (Lakers, Cavs, Heat, Bulls) that are highly motivated to make a move now and a few more (Pacers, Wizards, Nets) that might decide to blow it up. While such trades involving big-money players are difficult to pull off, it's almost a lock that at least one will find himself in a new uniform.
