Once, after a game like the Bulls' an unemotional, indifferent 107-82 loss Friday night to the Celtics, former Phoenix coach Cotton Fitzsimmons gathered his players in the locker room and symbolically flushed the toilets.

Just flush this one away and forget it, he told the team.

But that swooshing sound you hear may be the Bulls' 2007-08 season going down the drain.

It was a horrible game by the Baby Bulls. The Bulls need to make some changes ASAP! Maybe Gasol?

The only Bulls to make at least half of their field-goal attempts were rookies Aaron Gray (14 points on 6-for-11 shooting) and Joakim Noah (five points, 2-for-4 shooting).

''We didn't shoot the ball well, didn't rebound the ball well and turned it over too many times,'' Gordon said. ''We just had an overall bad game.''

Hinrich was yanked from the lineup less than five minutes into the half after committing bad turnovers on back-to-back possessions. He wasn't the only one not performing up to par. Besides the missed shots, the Bulls were blowing defensive assignments and couldn't come up with contested rebounds or loose balls.

''I don't know if 'confused' is the right word, but we were unsure of ourselves out there,'' Skiles said.

The four Bulls starters other than Gordon combined to score 20 points, shoot 30 percent from the field (7-for-23) and pile up 10 turnovers compared to 5 assists.
