Deng's back in, but with a wrap on his left wrist from a fall earlier in the game. Now if he goes out, that is trouble for the Bulls
How it happened: Playing without Derrick Rose (toe), Joakim Noah (ankle), Taj Gibson (ankle) and John Lucas III (groin), the Bulls still managed to win their third game in a row. Carlos Boozer had another solid night, scoring 23 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Luol Deng added 22 points and eight rebounds, and Rip Hamilton chipped in 20 points. Even Mike James, promoted from the NBDL weeks ago, came off the bench to score nine points and dish out 10 assists of his own. It was a total team effort on this night.
What it means: First of all, the Bobcats are absolutely awful. Secondly, the Bulls proved once again just how deep they are. Playing without four different players, the Bulls still found a way to push through the adversity and get a win. Saturday's game is yet another example as to why the Bulls shouldn't rush Rose back onto the floor unless his toe feels significantly better. They are good enough to beat most teams without him.
