Very tough game. Atlanta is scrappy.

As always, I'm staying positive. Bulls win 94-91.

Bulls 94 Hawks 109

Horrible night from the Bulls starters.

Rpaid Reaction by Nick Friedell

How it happened: Aside from a stretch during the middle of the second quarter, the Bulls looked lifeless throughout the game. The starters looked exhausted and did not give the type of effort Tom Thibodeau always demands of them. The Bench Mob gave the Bulls a spark at various points in the game, but this was unquestionably the Bulls' worst effort of the young season and probably of Thibodeau's short tenure with the Bulls.

What it means: Every team in the league is going to have nights like these, especially during a compressed season, but the Bulls have set such a high standard for themselves that they usually never play this poorly. Atlanta did whatever they wanted, pretty much whenever they wanted to do it. Thibodeau will use this game as a teaching point for the rest of the year, especially given how many back to backs the Bulls still have left to go.

Stat of the night: Here were the plus/minus numbers for Bulls' starters on the night: Carlos Boozer -40, Derrick Rose -31, Joakim Noah -29, Luol Deng -26, Ronnie Brewer -10

So starters looked exhausted? It was the second game of back-back games, but for Atlanta it was the 3rd game of back-back-back games and the first two goes to several overtimes.
