Bulls' win streak ends at 4

Postby bullsger on Tue Feb 23, 2010 12:19 am

By K.C. Johnson

Late Monday in the visitors' locker room at Verizon Center, Derrick Rose shook his head and looked downward.

"No way we should've lost this game," he said.

If the Bulls had been as accurate during a brutal second-half stretch as Rose proved in his postgame assessment, their good vibes would've continued to roll.

Instead, they were left to assess the countless blown plays in a 101-95 loss to the Wizards that snapped their four-game win streak.

Up by as many as 12 in a first half that featured more selfless play, the Bulls went 6 minutes, 10 seconds without scoring in the third quarter. At one point, they committed four straight turnovers and failed to score on 11 straight possessions.

"The third quarter was terrible," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "They outworked us."
