It is interesting that the Bulls have a very slim chance for 6th place.

But they must win this game to secure the playoff spot as early as possible. So winning against Sixers and then against the Bobcats and the Bulls can be in the playoffs.

Go Bulls!

Playoff update: If they can beat Philadelphia tonight at the United Center, the Bulls would pull within 1 1/2 games of sixth place in the East.

The 76ers would still hold the tiebreaker against the Bulls based on conference record, though. So the Sixers would have to lose three of their final four games for the Bulls to have any chance of moving up. Philadelphia's last four games include two with Cleveland, Boston at home and Toronto on the road.

Bulls take another step toward the playoffs with the 113-99 win over Sixers. :jam2:

Tyrus Thomas scored a season-high 24 points, and Gordon equaled that to lead the Bulls. Thomas sank all of his career-high 14 free-throw attempts as the Bulls went a perfect 19-for-19 from the line.

Derrick Rose added 16 points and eight assists, and Brad Miller contributed 15 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Bulls, who have scored more than 100 points in seven straight games and 11 of their last 12.
