SALT LAKE CITY -- Carlos Boozer doesn't expect to be playing for the Utah Jazz this season.

Just two weeks ago, Boozer opted to remain with the Jazz for the final year of his contract. But the two-time All-Star told a Chicago radio station Tuesday he expects the Jazz to trade him.

"The Jazz told me they want to go in a different direction and I respect their decision," Boozer said Tuesday during an interview with WMVP. "We mutually agreed to work out a trade that was beneficial for them and beneficial for my family and me. So with that being said I'm gonna be traded relatively soon or in good time."

So I think the Chicago-Portland-Utah trade is dead, but perhaps Bulls will do another trade with Utah?
Rose: "I want to be that guy. I want to be the reason why the Bulls are back to what they were [during the Michael Jordan era]."

Boozer deal back on? (Suntimes)

The on-again, off-again deal between the Bulls and the Jazz for Carlos Boozer, could be on again. Here's why: The Jazz has decided to match the offer sheet given to Paul Millsap by Portland, so it looks like they will need to trade Boozer to stay under the luxury tax limit. The Bulls' phone should be ringing.

The Jazz will still trade Carlos Boozer to get rid of his $12.7 million salary and get under the $69.9 million luxury tax limit. The Jazz are currently at approximately $81 million in salary commitments.
