Spencer Hawes was right there for the taking. The most offensively talented low post scorer in this draft. He can score with either hand and has a variety of post moves. He can also hit the 18-20 foot shot with consistency. Noah's not a HORRIBLE pick but I would expect more from Pax.
I would pick Noah over Hawes any day of the week, because for a big man, Hawes plays nothing like one. He may be the most talented offensive low-post scorer, but the guy is a horrible rebounder, and a horrible shotblocker, especially for a center. He averaged 6 rebounds last season, how many rebounds is he going to average in the NBA? Noah on the other hand is an excellent rebounder, playing by Horford didn't help, but he still did his thing. He doesn't only grab rebounds that come to him, he goes after the ball. He may not have a polished offensive game, nor a regualar jump shot, but he was the best available IMO for us to snag. I was hoping Wright could fall one more spot, because he would've been a STEAL. As soon as he puts some weight on, watch out for him. I called it.
Michael probably traded him because he was unpleased with his comments about Michael 'wanting none of him' in a basketball game.
Sidenote: who saw the Bulls fans holding up posters reading 'THANKS ISAIH'. That was hilarious.
