Charlotte Bobcats

Charlotte Bobcats

Look out for this team in 2 years. Firstly, the upcoming draft is going to be extremely deep. They are only 2 games out of being the 2nd worst team in the league (sounds funny right?). That team is Boston. Lets not forgot that with the Celtics they are a .500 ball club with Pierce and they will most likely move up a little bit in the standings. Secondly, the Bobcats have more cap space than any other team in the league. What they like is an experienced veteran who is a 4th quarter player and can lead a team. With their cap space, they would have legitimate shot at landing Vince Carter who is a free agent. Carter is a 4th quarter player, and is an experienced veteran. They would also have at least a top 3 pick, top 2 in my opinion. Here's what their depth chart could look like if they have a successful and healthy summer.

Raymond Felton/Brevin Knight
Vince Carter/Matt Caroll
Gerald Wallace/Adam Morrison
Emeka Okafor/Sean May
Greg Oden/Jake Voskuhl

Rest of Roster :

Derek Anderson
Jeff McInnis
Walter Herrmann
Othella Harrington
Melvin Ely
Bernard Robinson

They could then consider trading Sean May, a very good young prospect for a shooting big man Jorge Garbajosa. And with a lot of talent within guys like Anderson, McInnis, and Herrmann they may be able to pick up a good backup center such as Chris Kaman.

I think so too...mainly because Jordan is at the helm. If they can grab Horford or one of the Wright's in this year's draft, well then watch out. That front court will dominate night in, night out. When you've got a guy like Felton to get the them the ball, that just makes you pee fear all over yourself. Get Carter in the summer, most likely they'll let G-Wall walk, but he's a stud.

I don't know if the Wrights or Horford would really get much playing time. I really see them both as power forwards and despite want people say I don't think Okafor is a center. I think they need to grab a center, and if thats not possible trade for one.

Brevin Knight is getting a little bit older, but he'll still be good for a few years to come. Throw in a good draft pick this season, and Charlotte will be a serious team within a few years.

I'm also looking at Atlanta and Boston as teams that will be real good before too much longer.
