ESPN Insider RumorsThough there's currently no rumblings about the Pistons and Clippers swapping players, Terry Foster of the Detroit News is going to throw it out there anyway: the Pistons should try and acquire Chris Kaman.
Foster tosses out a Kaman for Tayshaun Prince swap, once Prince gets healthy. He admits a third team may need to get involved, or they might have to wait until Kaman becomes a free agent after the 2013 season.
"That would not be bad," Kaman told the paper last week about playing for the Pistons. "I have always thought about it, but I thought it might be a nightmare with ticket requests for every game.
"I am not against it. I am not pushing for it. If it happens, it happens. I would not be upset. I like to win."
Considering Kaman is having the best season of his career so far -- 19.5 points and 8.6 boards a game -- the Pistons may have to offer more than just Prince in this hypothetical scenario. Their 2009-10 salaries are nearly identical, so a straight-up swap wouldn't put either team in a financial hole.
