Paul Westphal fired!

Paul Westphal fired!

Postby bulls_with_booz on Thu Jan 05, 2012 3:47 pm

The Sacramento Kings fired coach Paul Westphal Thursday, hours after the team suffered a 27-point loss to the Denver Nuggets and just four days after the coach openly feuded with center DeMarcus Cousins.

Are you kidding me? You side with the arrogant kid? Are you KIDDING ME!? HDGDHDSFHSRJDJ!? Look, I understand his potential, but if he can't even have a conversation with the staff, then he's pointless. Paul wasn't a great coach, but the principal man, the principal! :mad1:

Strange decision from management. But this is a strange thing in sports...players losing not so often.

Which I don't like, at all. They gotta straighten it out, management > players. It's as simple as that. Reminds me of Sloan/D-Will, which was an unfolding disaster.

Smart didn't take long to bring new life into the team as the Kings rallied from 21 points down Thursday night for a 103-100 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at Power Balance Pavilion.

"When you start seeing the same things over and over again," Petrie said of Westphal's era, "you can't sit around and meditate forever how you're going to approach them and try to change them."

Keith Smart's signed a two year extension, he's taking over as coach.
