The Houston Rockets have the perfect team, looking at their roster. I believe in being a deep team, but not too deep. 8-9 man rotations are just right for me. The reason the Rockets have the perfect team is because they can do everything. When Yao went out, they turned to a run up and down game, and were very successful at it. They posses the shooters, playmakers, stealers, and shot blockers to run up and done, but thats not how they want to play. They want to play a halfcourt game where you shut your opponent out. They have an excellent defender in Shane Battier, and two very good players with quick hands to steal the ball in Rafer Alston and Tracy McGrady as well as Luther Head coming off the bench. They have a player in Chuck Hayes that is going to hustle for every ball and will get you 8 boards a game in minimal minutes. Yao Ming is their shot blocker (as well as Mutombo) and is also an excellent rebounder. Then on the offense end, they have the kind of team that his historically won championships. Low post scorer in Yao, perimeter scorer in McGrady. Rafer Alston is one of the most underrated point guards in the game today. His playmaking skills are excellent. Battier is a terrific spot up shooter, especially in the corner which is a good place to be when you have Yao in the post. Chuck Hayes plays the same role he does on defense, getting offensive boards, running the floor, getting those hustle players, and hitting midrange shots. Off the bench they have Juwan Howard, who is almost exactly like Chuck Hayes. They also have a three point specialist and a combo guard in Luther Head. And they also have Dikembo Mutombo. This team is not going to be fun to play in the playoffs.
